Inside Justice Week

The police in Peterborough are organising an exciting week long series of events to introduce young people to the criminal justice system and the way it all works.

Two activities online with E-ngageLive on 20th November and 24th November will give children from across the city the chance to have a close up look at crime and it’s consequences with police officers and Magistrates online. Some schools will have a chance to supplement the online experience with a visit to the scene of the crime as part of their investigation.

The whole event has been possible with the support of the Cambridgeshire Community Justice Board and E2BN the regional broadband consortium. The idea of Sergeant David Glover who said, “Young people are so familiar with technology that they expect to use it to learn. At the same time it offers us the opportunity to reach so many more young people than we could do otherwise.” Details of the activity are available from Sgt Dave Glover.
